SUMMARY :
This position is accountable for providing medical nutrition therapy of the complex pediatric patient in the inpatient and ambulatory settings.
The incumbent screens patients for nutritional risk, assesses nutrition needs, identifies nutritional requirements according to age and disease, determines nutrition diagnosis, and develops and implements nutrition plans of care.
Evaluates and monitors the outcomes of medical nutrition therapy intervention and provides and develops nutrition education to patients and families to accomplish patient goals.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or related subject and coordinated program in Dietetics, dietetic internship or approved pre-professional practice program.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) license is required.
- Minimum one year pediatric clinical related experience with developed area of clinical expertise is preferred.
