Job Description

Primary Function of Position

The Manager II, Global Competitive Insights will serve as a key strategic partner to the Cardiac business team , designing and implementing competitive intelligence and market research processes that influence critical business decisions. This role requires a data-driven, process-oriented professional with a strategic mindset who can efficiently collect and synthesize intelligence, identify business needs, and communicate insights that directly inform leadership decisions.

The successful candidate will develop trusted relationships across business functions, embed competitive insights into strategic planning and product development, and help elevate the organization's knowledge of evolving market and industry dynamics.

Essential Job Duties

  • Optimize collection and processing of competitive intelligence and market research data

Mine publicly available information through existing tools and other sources.

  • Develop efficient collection of field intelligence through SFDC, primary market research, industry events, and professional society meetings.
  • Maintain internal knowledge base of insights, analysis, and project outcomes.
  • Translate intelligence into actionable insights
  • Synthesize competitive and industry trends into integrated insights and analytical dashboards.

  • Elevate Intuitive's industry knowledge through standard communication forums
  • Deliver actionable CI reports to Leadership for effective decision-making
  • Act as a trusted advisor : embed competitive intelligence into internal decision-making processes
  • Support key initiatives from business partners

  • Lead strategic analyses on adjacent solutions, new procedures, advanced technology and / or competition
  • Keep the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action
  • Ensure compliance with legal guidelines
  • Qualifications

    Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong track record in data analysis, market research, and trend interpretation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills (presentation, relationship-building, negotiation).
  • Resourceful self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to create and execute research plans.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel; Access and Tableau a plus).
  • Required Education and Training

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of related experience, OR
  • Advanced degree with minimum 3 years of related experience, OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following : consumer research, competitive intelligence, consulting, strategic marketing, consumer insights, or investment banking.
  • Experience in the cardio-vascular industry (surgical and / or interventional)
