About The Position
Job Title : EEG Technologist 1 Job Specialty : EEG Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day - 5x8 - 08 : 00 AM to 04 : 00 PM Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per week Experience : New graduates welcome OR 2 years of EEG / EMU hands-on experience License : ABRET Certified Certifications : American Board of Registration of EEG / EP Technologists (ABRET), Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association Must-Have : - Organizational ability - Effective communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively - Technical knowledge and skills Job Description : - Provide findings, results, and descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures.
- Perform all types of neurodiagnostic tests, including ambulatory, bedside, electrical cerebral silence, and standard lab EEGs.
- Clean and disinfect equipment, following infection control policies. - Document appropriate data in patient charts and lab files.
- Explain tests and procedures to patients to ensure optimal results. - Notify the neuroscience physician as needed for grossly abnormal EEG tracings.
- Accurately document procedures and patient interactions. - Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, providing instructions and explanations as needed.
- Communicate age-appropriate information effectively. - Troubleshoot equipment and arrange for repair services when indicated.
Candidates should have completed a high school diploma or GED and graduated from a CAAHEP accredited EEG program.
