Summary of the Position :

If you're a chemist with experience in personal care and a passion for bringing customers ideas to life, Merit is the perfect place for you.

You will work with senior chemists on product development from concept to the final launch on the market. We're looking for someone who is precise, has a strong attention to detail, and a strong understanding of chemistry and cosmetic science.

• Batching of all types of hair and skin formulations including but not limited to gels, creams, lotions, serums, sticks, sprays, and balms.
• Understanding of general cosmetic technology such as emulsion, polymers, and surfactant, as well as formulation techniques.
• Experienced with laboratory equipment and procedures, such as pH meters, Viscometer, overhead mixers, and homogenizers.
• Perform and track prototype stability and compatibility.
• Maintain, organize, and order lab supplies / raw materials as necessary.

Qualifications :

• College degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical engineering, or related field.
• Be able to follow a set formula and instructions provided by senior chemists to create prototypes and samples.
• Must have good problem solving, decision making, and organization skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain a laboratory notebook, as a professional legal document.

What you get for your Hard Work :

Pay : Starts at $45,000 annually based on experience
