Job Description :

Position Overview : The Packaging Specialist at Illicit Gardens will be responsible for overseeing the packaging process of our cannabis products.

This role ensures that all products are packaged efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Operate Packaging Machinery : Efficiently operate and maintain packaging equipment, including troubleshooting and performing minor repairs.
  • Quality Control : Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet required specifications, including seal integrity and label accuracy.
  • Inventory Management : Coordinate with supply chain and inventory teams to manage packaging materials, ensuring availability and minimizing waste.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with product development teams to integrate packaging considerations into product design, focusing on customer experience and product safety.
  • Safety Compliance : Implement and adhere to health and safety guidelines during packaging processes to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Training : Train new employees on packaging equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Sustainability : Research and implement sustainable packaging solutions to reduce environmental impact while maintaining product integrity.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in packaging technology or related fields is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a packaging role, preferably in the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to packaging.
