Supporting the key retailers in the North America region, the Sr. Manager of Trade Marketing will relentlessly drive profitable growth and brand loyalty.
This Sr. Manager will oversee the wholesale marketing strategy and execution for the region, including new launches, promotional activations, limited life programs, sampling, visual merchandizing, and p-page optimization.
These programs will be strategically designed to reflect and amplify the Global Brand team’s ambitions and direction.
The ideal candidate will be creative, thoughtful, energetic and entrepreneurial. They will oversee a small team, and will need to be able to work flexibly across time zones.
They will be a key budget owner in the North America team.
Key duties are described below, and other relevant duties may be assigned as required.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
Calendar Management
- Responsible for the tracking and submission of all invoices, keeping each retailer’s budget up to date, proactively identifying challenges or shifts and working creatively to do more with less
- Manage and communicate all marketing calendars, schedules and campaign plans for each retailer
- See out creative and innovative marketing exposures, partner closely with retailer teams to bring ideas to life
- Manage the creation of all retailer Market Week decks, adapting for each retailer as needed
- Ensure the accurate and on-time submission of all retailer product set up forms
Sampling & Limited Life
- Responsible for Sampling / GWP programming and budget, ensure any issues with execution are raised proactively and addressed collaboratively
- Partner with Demand Planning to ensure all forecasts are submitted on time and accurately, proactively share any risks or updates
- Partner with Sales Operations and Field Team Director to make sure all programs are shipped as planned
- Serve as the North America representative on gift sets and limited life strategy with global team
- Seek additional marketing opportunities through strategic use of limit life products
- Track effectiveness and make strategic recommendations on assortments
Visual Merchandizing
- Own the Visual Merchandizing initiatives for all North America retailers
- Partner with Field Sales Director, Sr. Account Director, Global Brand and Marketing teams, and global VM team on strategic Visual Merchandizing planning and fixture briefs
- Support Visual Merchandising team in tracking all VM timelines and needs
- Partner with Demand Planning to make assortment recommendations and analyze business impacts
- Maintain all assortments for each retail partner by fixture type
- Own product website page management and digital asset changes, make strategic recommendations and oversee execution
- Own the strategy and execution of product review seedings
Cross Functional
- Act as the North America marketing contact for all global needs
- Partner with influencer, paid media and PR teams on any North America wholesale programs or retailer needs
- Work extremely closely with the Field Sales Director and Field team members to ensure ongoing flow of communication, feedback, and execution on any field team needs as required
Key Capabilities and Experience :
- 6+ years’ experience in trade marketing, sales, or relevant field
- Experience working with beauty retailers, Sephora experience preferred
- Experience in presenting to and negotiating with retailer teams
- Omnichannel marketing experience, experience leading on visual merchandising preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience leading a team
- Experience owning a budget of $1M+
- Strong project management skills, and ability to manage shifting timelines
- Excellent planning, communication, and presentation skills
- Collaborative with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional partners across time zones
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
- A creative and commercial mindset
