Financial Analyst

Talascend is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a long-term contract role, working onsite for a global electronics company in Santa Ana, CA.

OVERCIEW :

The main functions of a Financial Analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions.

A typical Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients. This position will require communication with other team members in Korea, candidates who are bilingual in Korean is strongly preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conduct 3-month business forecasts, including comprehensive forecasts on logistics costs and overhead expenses as well as of business environmental changes to provide better financial visibility to management.
• Analyze data and compare to the monthly, quarterly and yearly forecast to track cost fluctuation.
• Prepare financial related analysis and research in area such financial and cost saving performance measures.
• Create, Update and maintain financial model of logistics cost to support decision making process.
• Prepare and perform month-end closing from a managerial standpoint, using SAP Controlling (CO) module while closely monitoring expenses / cost allocation of various profit segments / cost centers.
• Manage both operation performance and financial KPI, analyze and develop based on changing environment.
• Simulate warehouse space based on GSCM forecast and prevent possible capacity issue of WH storage.
• Support ad-hoc report.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or similar required.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Fluency in Korean language is strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills required. Proficient in SAP and Power Point.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage and work effectively within cross-functional groups.
• Experience using advanced supply chain management, enterprise planning or financial planning systems is highly desired. (SAP, etc.)
• Proven success in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills.
• Strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills.
• The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames.
