Education andExperience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 8 years AviationMaintenance experience to include 4 years of experience working onGulfstream mid / large size aircraft required.

Corporate aircraftexperience preferred. Other FAA Airframe and Powerplant MechanicCertificate required. Valid Driver’s License required.

PositionPurpose :

Expert Aircraft Technicianthat works independently and in a leadership role as necessary toperform a variety of aircraft mods and mtc functions.

Technicalexpert on in-service aircraft and perform repairs on installationsthat require a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.

Functionindependently on a team and in a leadership role whenrequired.

JobDescription

Principle Duties andResponsibilities :

Essential Functions :

• Perform required. periodic mtc and necessary servicingof all acft mechanical systems. Must demonstrate the ability toconsistently perform assigned maintenance task within the quoted orstandard CMP time .
• Provide work direction for assigned techs. Promote high standardsof quality through instruction and example .
• Act on behalf of lead in theirabsence and assume duties and responsibilities (to include leadingteam meetings) when assigned .
• Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance withinternal and FAA inspection and documentation requirement.
• Properly identify (tag)customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components andother customer property securely and safely .
• Follow SOPs and JSAs when operatingGSE. Operate and supervise use of special support equipment inremoval and installation of major components .
• Coordinate movement of aircraft asrequired.
• Act as mentorand assist in training new employees in CMPs, maintenance manuals,SRMs, IPC usage, flight test installations, Solumina, RS compliancerecords, and all maintenance of major components.

Sign off OJTrecords as required.

• Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul orrepair of customer property as needed .
• Participate in SMS, includinginvestigations and participation in Site Safety Council.
• Assist or lead problemsolving initiatives and process implementation. Support Leanactivities .
• Assist inproblem solving to establish or correct planning methods foraircraft projects by utilizing standard techniques, procedures, andcriteria .
• Assessstrengths and weaknesses of assigned members. Provide diverselearning opportunities .
• Maintain a current knowledge of industry standards, vendorinformation, and all other procedures, pubs, and a generalknowledge pertaining to product support maintenance .
• Assist in maintaining work schedules.
• Maintain currentknowledge of warranty and parts programs to ensure proper processesare followed .
• Identifyrisk and recommend mitigation options to leadership .

Additional Functions :

• Usematerial tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor tocorrect work orders and item numbers. Apply 6S and Lean Initiativesto keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean .
• Implement and apply Lean / CIprocesses to all areas of responsibility .
• Properly use and maintaincompany-provided tools and equipment. Return items to designatedstorage area after use. In support of aircraft cert and final phasetesting, may include flight tests on aircraft .

Perform other duties asassigned.

Other Requirements :

• Advanced knowledge of inspection andmaintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systemswithin each aircraft product line.
• Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical referencematerials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structuralrepair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
• Advanced knowledge of FAAregulations, process specifications, Repair Station and QualityControl manuals, and company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to read, write, speak,and understand the English language.
