Job Title : Senior Operations Leader

Location : Delaware, OH (On-site with relocation support available)

About the Role

We’re working with a global chemical manufacturer looking for an experienced operations leader to oversee and evolve the day-to-day performance of a key production facility. This individual will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and output across both solvent- and water-based production lines.

Reporting directly to site leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement, managing cross-functional teams, and supporting long-term strategic goals. This is a hands-on role with broad visibility, ideal for someone ready to lead through influence, experience, and a strong operational mindset.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Plant Performance : Lead daily operations across production, EHS, quality, maintenance, and engineering functions.
  • Champion Safety & Compliance : Ensure regulatory compliance and drive a safety-first culture across the facility.
  • Drive Process Excellence : Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and project management principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Coach & Develop Teams : Build engagement across teams; identify and nurture talent within the operation.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally : Work with supply chain, logistics, and procurement to align operational priorities.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of plant or operations management experience in chemical manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of Lean / Six Sigma principles (certification preferred)
  • Experience managing unionized teams in a production environment
  • Strong leadership presence with proven ability to influence and drive accountability
  • Project management experience and comfort working cross-functionally
