Managing Director Needed

Animal Health & Nutrition client with an ambitious 5-year plan to significantly scale our U.S. and international operations. Our mission is to improve animal well-being and productivity through advanced nutritional solutions, and we are seeking a proven leader to help drive our next phase of growth.

We are seeking a Managing Director with a strong commercial and operational background to take full ownership of our Animal Health & Nutrition business. Reporting directly to the executive board, this role will hold full P&L responsibility and oversee a team of approximately 50 employees across sales, operations, and administration.

As Managing Director, you will spearhead the U.S. and international commercialization of our product portfolio, drive operational excellence, and lead the implementation of systems and structures that support scale and efficiency. This is a high-impact role for a strategic, hands-on executive looking to build something significant in a dynamic and growing industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full P&L Ownership : Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the business unit
  • Strategic Leadership : Develop and execute commercial, operational, and organizational strategies to drive sustainable growth
  • Team Management : Lead and develop a high-performing team across sales, operations, and administrative functions
  • Global Commercialization : Drive expansion efforts, including market entry and product launches in international territories
  • Sales & Company Goals : Align team efforts with company-wide sales objectives and performance targets
  • Culture Building : Foster a results-oriented, collaborative, and innovative culture that attracts and retains top talent

Qualifications

  • Proven success in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility (Commercial Animal Health or Feed industry strongly preferred)
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams of 50+ employees, including direct and indirect reports
  • Strong track record of driving commercial growth, both domestically and internationally
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, or related field (MBA preferred)
