Job Description / Preferred Qualifications
- Focuses on mechanical and plumbing infrastructure.
- Develops, implements and maintains technical system capacities and mechanical and plumbing designs, including quality assurance and control systems and activities.
- Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for construction, commissioning, and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company space and sites.
- Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations.
- Works closely with the facilities project team to make recommendations, provide insight and guidance during the project development to create more robust and / or cost-effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, execute and report on site infrastructure maintenance plans for multiple buildings within a campus.
- Create and deploy mechanical and plumbing designs and tracking and site strategy standards, including environmental documentation.
- Maintain and create a lifecycle renewal program along with ongoing monitoring to help make recommendations for repairs and replacement while optimizing costs and business continuity.
- Occasionally lead project management initiatives on select MEP infrastructure projects.
Qualifications :
- Engineering, construction, or design management experience specific to critical environments (Labs and cleanroom).
- Solid understanding of building operations, mechanical and plumbing systems, and the related impact to adjacent spaces.
- Experience in facilitating problem-solving between mechanical and plumbing subcontractors during construction.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to explain concepts to a range of audiences on technical solutions and recommended improvements.
- Capable of working both independently and in multiple teams.
- Experience in high-tech, fast-paced environment; focused on customer service.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs and AutoCAD is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Professional Engineering license is preferred.
