The Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a vital part of the Habitat for Humanity mission. ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, home goods, building materials, and more at a fraction of the retail price.
The funds generated through ReStore sales directly support Habitat for Humanity's affordable housing programs, helping to build homes and transform lives.
Position Overview : We are seeking a personable and dedicated ReStore Donor Relations Manager to join our team. As a Donor Relations Manager, you will be a key player in strengthening and creating relationships with donors, suppliers, and local partners in the community who generously support our ReStore operations in the community by donating supplies to our ReStores.
Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of our ReStore and, ultimately, to our mission at Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity.
Key Responsibilities :
- Contact, cultivate, and maintain relationships with community donors, including those who donate goods and products to the ReStore.
- Collaborate with the ReStore team to identify and prioritize donation needs and effectively communicate these needs to potential donors.
- Coordinate with the ReStore staff to ensure efficient and effective donation processing and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the ReStore team to plan and execute special events and promotions to engage the local community and generate support.
- Work with donors to arrange donation pickups accurately and efficiently.
- Outreach by visiting with donors or potential donors in the community.

Qualifications :
- 4 years of relevant experience in donor relations or nonprofit development OR 4-year degree in related field preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency with donor management and CRM software is a plus.
