Job Title : Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location : Belfair, WA

Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in Belfair, WA.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment, providing essential speech and language therapy services to students and contributing to their communication skills and academic success.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings and in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension, and pragmatic / social communication skills.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate therapy goals into students' educational plans and support their overall academic progress.
  • Monitor and document students' progress regularly, adjusting therapy plans as necessary and maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions and progress reports.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and insights to develop and review students' educational goals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with advancements and best practices in speech-language pathology through professional development opportunities and continuous learning.

Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain CCC-SLP.
  • Washington state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of diverse populations and proficiency in tailoring therapy approaches to meet individual student needs.
