Dishwasher I (Student Union) (Sanitation) (Multiple positions) Location Main Campus The Arizona Student Unions is looking to fill multiple positions for Dishwasher I.
The position performs various duties necessary in the dish room, including but not limited to washing dishes. The working conditions include rapid movement through the dish area and to various units.
This position lifts or carries heavy objects.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Sweeps and mops entire Production area as well as basement area
- Ensures all areas of the kitchen and other units are properly cleaned : walls, floors, vents, hood exhausts, ovens, fryers, warmers, steamers, broilers, and walk-ins
- Cleans garbage room, dock area daily
- Ensures all utensils are cleaned and properly stored
- Breaks down boxes and places in recycle bin
- Prevents cross contamination of food products
- Ensures food items are labeled and stored properly
- Works harmoniously with coworkers
- Assists in other units when needed and on special projects
- Paints and patches as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Duties :
- Frequently reaches, bends, lifts, shakes, stirs, pours, carries and pushes
- Have ability to withstand large workload under high heat
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Skill in using cleaning products and equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques and standards
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Skill in following oral and written communication
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to transport / move a minimum of 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating commercial food service equipment
- Vocational or technical training
