2nd Shift - SUPERVISOR PRODUCTION - OMAHA
We are a well-established manufacturer with over 68 years of providing quality products to our clients. Phillips Manufacturing is the one-stop shop for drywall finishing accessories, lath, stucco accessories, metal channels, interior framing, and fire-rated assemblies with facilities around the country.
The Production Supervisor will supervise and direct plant personnel to maintain an efficient, productive, and safe work environment.
Ensure quality of product produced meets company / customer guidelines.
Essential Functions :
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, and resolving problems.
- Continually monitor production to ensure quality of product. Work with Production Manager, quality control, and engineering to assure quality expectations are achieved.
- As the leader of a team of people, work to motivate and develop by various means. Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as hiring, coaching / disciplinary action, and promotions.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to qualified team members.
- Supervise and direct plant personnel to maintain an efficient, productive, and safe work environment.
- Work with product line operators in the adjustment of machines.
- Collect, review and / or update production reports for each machine to ensure figures and times are accurate. Produce needed reports from production information.
- Continually seek methods to reduce cost by improving productivity, reducing materials usage, scrap, etc.
- Coordinate with maintenance for the repair of, or changeover of, equipment.
- Monitor plant supplies and notify appropriate personnel of needed supplies.
- Abide by, maintain, monitor, and enforce plant rules and regulations, including all safety regulations.

- Have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Good analytical / mathematical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and requirements.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to make fair and consistent judgments and decisions.
- Ability to operate a tape measure, micrometer, ruler and other precision measuring equipment.
- Will be computer literate, particularly in production planning and inventory control applications.
- Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
Experience : 3-5 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience in a leadership role.
