Security Supervisor

We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will assure the Safety / Security of the hospital facilities, buildings, and grounds.
Security supervisors must have excellent leadership skills and be able to deal with adverse situations. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment range.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the leader of security personnel for the account, managing the security staff and overseeing the day-to-day program.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment.
- Maintain weekly operating schedules and audit semi-monthly time sheets for assigned security personnel.
- Evaluate the competencies of assigned staff members and take corrective action when required. This includes ensuring defined training / processes are in place for all officers to maintain defined levels of performance, appropriate licenses, and certifications.
- Ability to analyze problems, determine root causes, and identify and determine results-oriented solutions.
- Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively.
Requirements :
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer / pre-employment and drug / alcohol test.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
- Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
- Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner;
must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
- Previous payroll and scheduling experience.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of related work experience.
