EchoStar has an exciting opportunity fora Financial Analyst in our Hughes NetworkSystems division. This position will be located at our office in Gaithersburg, MD .
We are looking for a candidate witha strong financial analysis background who thrives in a fast-pacedand demandingenvironment.
Responsibilities :
- Providefinancial support for our OneWeb Division to analyze and reportgroup financial results including analysis of project revenues andcosts, department expenses, capital expenses, and balance sheetaccounts.
- Work closely with the accountingorganization to ensure accounting policies and procedures have beenimplemented properly for project accounting and expenseaccounting.
- Assist OneWeb finance andmanagement teams with monthly financial results, forecasts forprojects, cost centers, and the annual budgetprocess
- Work closely with OneWeb business groupand engineering management to prepare financial analyses necessaryin understanding businessperformance.
- Proactively seek ways to improveexisting reporting and forecasting processes.
- Identify specific areas andprocesses for automation.
- Assist the OneWebgroup in special projects as needed.
- Conveycomplex financial information clearly and concisely tonon-financialstakeholders.
BasicRequirements :
- Bachelor’sdegree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years’experience performing variance analysis andreporting.
- 2+ years of corporateaccounting or finance background
- 2+ yearsof Excel & financial modelskills

- Experiencewith SAP
- Strong attention todetail
- Highly-skilled in financialstatements
- Experience withHyperion
- Adept at navigating changing businessenvironments.
- Forward-thinker who looks toenhance business and programeconomics.
