Civil Science is currently seeking a qualified Structural Engineer / Bridges to join our growing transportation design group in Utah or Idaho.

This position will require a Professional Engineer with a structural background who will be involved in the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and inspection of transportation-related structures, including bridges, tunnels, highways, and related infrastructure.

This role involves producing structural calculations and construction documents such as plan / detail sheets, quantities, cost estimates, construction specifications, and advertising documents.

Type of Structural Work

• Bridges (precast / prestressed concrete, cast-in-place concrete, and steel)
• Retaining Walls (MSE, cast-in-place concrete, and soil nail
• Box Culverts
• Miscellaneous Drainage Structures

Requirements

• Must currently hold Professional Engineer License and have the ability to gain licensing in Utah and Idaho through reciprocity within six months of start date
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Bridge Engineering
• Working knowledge of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
• Familiarity with the AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design
• Experience with UDOT and local municipal agencies
• Experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation
