Role Title : Training Specialist

Location : Madison, WI- Remote

Duration : 1 year

Required Skills :

2+ years of experience working collaboratively to develop training materials and related documentation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to read and understand technical information, analyze training needs, and translate it into a training plan and training materials.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, track progress, report status, and escalate issues / risks to team leadership.

Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to gather information and coordinate simultaneous edits from multiple contributors.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and similar tools.

Ability to understand and apply complex governmental policies and translate them into process and technical documentation.

Ability to organize content according to principles of Adult Learning and tailor it to the audience or end-user.

Ability to perform quality assurance reviews.

Preferred Skills

Experience with eligibility and enrollment for public assistance programs, such as Medicaid, CHIP, and SNAP.

Experience in engaging and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and community leaders.

Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.

Proficiency with Camtasia or other video editing software.

Responsibilities

The Training Specialist is responsible for analyzing training needs and developing training materials and documentation to support technical and non-technical projects in our client portfolio.

This role is client-facing and requires strong organizational skills, collaboration with multiple teams, and management of simultaneous projects with competing deadlines.

Expected Deliverable(s)

Standard deliverables include presentations, recorded demonstration videos, standard operating procedures, and desk aids.

More complex projects may require analysis of technical documentation to design a training plan, develop training curricula, and facilitate learning sessions.
