Home Health Aide (HHA) Or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Opportunity

The Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides clients various personal care and homemaker / companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions :

  • Personal Care with ADLs and IADLs

Provide full assistance with : bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care, back care, shampoo, oral hygiene, feeding, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (electric wheelchair, ceiling lift), change of position, with toileting.

  • Companion / Sitter / Household Management

    • Provide companionship and respite services for family

  • Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients
  • Client is a woman and the family needs immediate assistance for 4 hours on weekend mornings.
  • Occasional transportation to run errands within 5 mile radius once a week.

    • Qualifications / Educational Requirements :

  • High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
  • Previous experience with SC Medicaid / DDSN clients preferred.

    • Must Be :

  • Willing to keep client active
  • Good at communicating
  • Have driver's license and car
