Our client, a major food processor, has two newly-created opportunities in the Louisville, KY metropolitan area for 2nd and 3rd shift Maintenance Supervisors at their high-volume, automated plant.

WHAT YOU’LL DO :
The Maintenance Supervisor will lead and direct the plant maintenance department and will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment, tools and machines in the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include elimination of all causes of failure and ensuring full useful life in coordinating with daily maintenance that is completed by operating personnel as well as well as scheduling maintenance, repair, and installation to ensure production operations are continuous.
The Maintenance Supervisor will create and manage the budgets for maintenance and storeroom and inspect equipment and operating machines for conformance with operational standards.
Production, quality control, maintenance reports, and statistics will be reviewed to plan and modify maintenance activities.
This role could supervise up to 10 people at a time. Need to be flexible to help out as needed on weekends and off shifts.
- 2nd shift is from 2 : 00pm to 10 : 00pm
- 3rd shift is 10 : 00pm to 6 : 00am. Under consideration is the shift being 6 : 00pm to 6 : 00am (3 12-hour shifts)
BACKGROUND :
- HS Diploma required and further education a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance in a food plant
- Understanding must be complete of PLCs and logic controls for operating equipment that is high speed
- Computer literacy with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project as well as CAD
- Project management and facilities administration with experience and ability to manage projects and people
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Time management and project scheduling skills
- Proven track record of successfully managing the construction of complex projects that are large
- Ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources
- Thorough knowledge of construction processes, standards, trade practices, building codes and regulations
- Excellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve maintenance and repair programs that are successful
- SAP is a plus
