Indotronix is seeking a Civil Engineer Associate in the Roanoke, VA location

Job Title : Civil Engineer Associate

Location : Roanoke, VA

Duration : 12 Months

Minimum Requirements :

This is an entry-level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural engineering in a program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (AClient).

Additional :

Provide civil / structural engineering support for substation capital projects, Work with project planners / sponsors, project leads and various stakeholders to develop the most effective design approach and solutions considering safety, cost, schedule, constructability, and operation and maintenance requirements.

Provide support to construction and professional field service personnel to resolve issues and concerns during the construction phase of projects.

Will also consider Civil Engineer level candidates with the following :

Minimum Requirements Has typically acquired 2 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor'

s degree in Civil or Structural engineering in a program accredited by the Engineering Accreditation

Hours : 40 hour work week. Flex time is allowed, can be five 8-hour days, four 9-hour days and one 4-hour day, or four 10 hour days.

OT is possible but not often, would depend on project deadlines.

Job designation is Hybrid, working three days in office and two remote.

Travel is 15%. This includes travelling to visit project sites under construction, or team meetings that may be also on site or at other offices.

Depending on location it could be renting a car and driving or flying.

These can be over night, usually for a night or two depending on the situation. Prefers Local candidates

The Civil Engineer positions may have the potential to convert.

Position Summary :

Provide civil engineering support for Transmission Line Engineering department

Utilize PLS-CADD software to design and analyze transmission lines according to industry and company standards

Develop functional and detailed scoping documents for estimating purposes

Order material for construction.

Create construction drawing packages

Attend project and team meetings

Perform site visits as needed

Competence in the use of computer software PLS-CADD

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software

Proper document archiving at project closeout.
