Job Overview

We are seeking a self-motivated individual capable of independent decision-making and managing tasks autonomously to join our team.

Our ideal candidate will be able to integrate swiftly and ready to make an immediate impact by managing customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.

This includes submitting and updating proposals either from plans submitted or job site visits for field measuring. The Account Representative must understand and interpret technical requirements (IRC / IBC) for stair and rail systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and tailor your sales approach accordingly recommending appropriate products and / or services.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of stair and rail products to effectively sell them.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients using confidence and solid arguments to promote the unique value of our products / services to prospective customers for job award.
• Reach out to potential customers through research / analysis of market and cold calling
• Coordinate sales efforts with team members and production departments.
• Gather feedback and report customer needs, interests and competitive activities.
• Provide ongoing support to customers and address any inquiries or issues promptly
• Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets

Skills

• Proven sales experience in stairs and rails
• Demonstrates strong self-management skills
• Familiarity with ERP software
• Ability to analyze market trends and customer data
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
• Understanding of woodwork and stair and rail systems.
• Experience using various equipment needed for measuring and quoting
• Knowledge of plan reading
• Knowledge of building and construction codes in DC, MD, PA, VA, & WV
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to drive safely in heavy traffic

Physical Requirements

• Lifting : Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Standing / Walking / Driving : Must be able to stand, walk and drive for extended periods.
• Sitting : Must be able to sit for extended periods.
• Bending / Stooping : Must be able to bend, stoop, and kneel as required.
• Reaching : Must be able to reach overhead and below the waist.
• Pushing / Pulling : Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Climbing : Must be able to climb ladders or stairs.
• Manual Dexterity : Must have fine motor skills for handling objects and equipment.
• Environmental Conditions : Must be able to work in outdoor environments, hot / cold temperatures and noisy environments.
