Overview : As an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Private Equity Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of investment opportunities within the private equity space, focusing on companies that exhibit strong ESG principles.

Your role will involve assessing the financial performance, market positioning, and ESG practices of potential investment targets to inform decision-making and portfolio management strategies.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine financial expertise with a commitment to sustainability and responsible investing.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Financial Analysis : Conduct thorough financial analysis of target companies, including revenue trends, profitability metrics, and cash flow dynamics.
  • ESG Due Diligence : Evaluate the ESG practices of potential investment targets, assessing factors such as environmental impact, social responsibility initiatives, and corporate governance structures.
  • Risk Assessment : Identify and analyze ESG-related risks and opportunities within target companies, considering factors such as regulatory compliance, reputational risks, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Portfolio Management : Monitor the ESG performance of existing portfolio companies, collaborating with investment teams to implement ESG integration strategies and drive long-term value creation.
  • Industry Research : Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices related to ESG investing, providing insights and recommendations to support investment decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Engage with company management teams, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and perspectives on ESG-related issues affecting investment decisions.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis and valuation techniques, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks and standards (e.g., UNPRI, SASB, GRI) and their application within the investment context.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey ESG-related concepts and insights to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision in analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in private equity, investment banking, or ESG research is preferred but not required.
