POSITION SUMMARY :

Delivers professional and technical nursing to adult and geriatric patients admitted to the Telemetry unit with real or potential life threatening illnesses.

Monitors, interprets and intervenes for patients experiencing cardiac arrhythmia, working under the direction of, and in collaboration with the medical staff.

Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well being of the patient. Nursing care delivered complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations of patients.

CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES :

Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.

Works with supervisor / manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner.

Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations.

Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.
