Job Title : Digital Ministry and Communications Manager
Job Summary : The Digital Ministry and Communications Manager will coordinate, develop, and lead all individuals responsible for the Sunday experience.
This role will coordinate the livestream of the services and be the first point of contact for current technology as well as help develop digital ministry in the future as well as produce all official communications, advertising and promotion materials, including maintaining the website.
Direct Reports : Social Media Manager, A / V Team
Core Responsibilities :
Worship Service Coordination
1. Coordinate the digital details for the alternative and traditional services.
2. Maintain the Planning Center platform and administer the A / V calendar to ensure all pieces are fulfilled. Follow up and check in with musicians and ministers as needed.
3. Attend pre-service call time meetings to ensure individuals are understanding the flow and process for each service.
4. Make sure all elements of video and audio are working properly each week.
5. Oversee tech booth employees to ensure a smooth operation of service each week.
Digital Communication
1. Develop the digital experience for online church participants; oversee the production and distribution of online service, develop connection tools for online participants, create new ways to engage members on digital platforms.
2. Create the weekly e-news, and other special emails and announcements to the congregation and other groups.
3. Design / select graphics for all advertising materials, both print and digital.
4. Support the Social Media Manager in communicating the vision and values of Meetinghouse Church.
Technology Management & Development
1. Solidify system integrations for optimal experience for staff and members.
2. Develop a working understanding of all technology in the church building : assist in upkeep and recommendations for needed equipment.
3. Identify technology needs and make recommendation to key decision-makers.
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all technology systems.
5. Be the main point of contact for any technology related questions from Ministry Areas throughout the church.
6. Work with congregation members to handle technical matters as it relates to their giving, worship experiences, or community interaction.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated commitment to Christian faith and the mission and values of Colonial Church
- High attention to detail
- Familiarity with wide variety of technical equipment (sound boards, computers, cameras, music gear)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
- Ability to do well under stress
- Creative capacity & flexibility
- Education : BA degree in related field
- At least 3 years of experience in similar field
- Effective interpersonal, communication and community building skills.
