Raytheon provides end-to-end space solutions from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors to keep our customers informed and ahead of the threat.
Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into usable information for the end users who consume this data.
As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt.
In this role, you will be joining a team where our software engineers and architects are developing and maintaining advanced ground station software.
What You Will Do
- Design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance of Ground System Software.
- Troubleshooting of complex software problems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued TS / SCI security clearance is required.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years' relevant or equivalent experience.
- Experience with C++ and Java software development.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.
S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience with Agile development.
- Experience working within LINUX / UNIX operating systems.
- Experience with one or more areas of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
