🏥 Travel ICU RN – Mixed ICU (MICU / SICU / CICU / TICU)\nAddress : Rapid City, SD\nShift : [Not specified – please confirm with recruiter]\nContract Length : 13 weeks\nWeekly Hours : 48 hours / week – required, non-negotiable\nStart Dates : [Rolling, with orientation weekly]\nMagnet Designated | Teaching Hospital | Level II Trauma Center | 417 Beds\n\n🩺 Unit Information\n\nUnit Type : Mixed ICU – includes Medical, Surgical, Cardiac, Trauma ICUs\n\nUnit Beds : 39\n\nTrauma Level : II\n\nNICU Level : III\n\nPediatric Trauma : Level II\n\n👥 Patient Population\n\nHigh-acuity, critically ill patients : \n\nARDS, COVID-19, MI, CVA / TIA\n\nPost-cardiac cath, post-surgical, neuro\n\nMulti-system trauma\n\nCardiac experience preferred : CABG, TAVR (24–48 hrs post-op)\n\nNo fresh open hearts unless previously experienced and cleared\n\nRNs may float to ED or Med / Surg / Tele if overstaffed\n\n✅ Experience Requirements\n\nMinimum : 2 years ICU experience excluding travel\n\n1.5 years ICU + other strong RN background : Submit for approval\n\nNot accepting first-time travelers\n\nTraveler must live at least 100 miles from any Monument Health facility\n\nFormer perm staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler\n\n💉 Skills & Clinical Requirements\n\nRequired Certifications (must be active) : \n\nBLS\n\nACLS\n\nNIHSS\n\nTNCC (Required) – must be completed before arrival\n\nRequired Skills : \n\nStrong assessment & critical thinking in high-acuity ICU\n\nVent management, proning, sedation, vasopressors, paralytics\n\nTelemetry & hemodynamic monitoring\n\nEpic EMR experience required\n\nPreferred Skills : \n\nImpella, IABP, CRRT experience\n\n🤝 Unit Support\n\nCharge RNs : 2 CRNs covering all ICUs\n\nCNA / Mobility Aide : 1–2 per unit\n\nRT : 24 / 7\n\nPhlebotomy : Yes (peripheral only)\n\nMidlines : Placed by ICU CRNs\n\nMD Coverage : \n\n3 Intensivists on days\n\n2 Intensivists + 1 APP at night\n\n📝 Charting & Equipment\n\nEMR : Epic\n\nPumps : Currently Alaris, switching to Baxter by October\n\nOmnicell for med dispensing
