Responsibilities

As a Construction Project Manager at K2 Construction, you will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of our projects.

Your responsibilities include :

Project Planning and Scheduling : Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

Ensure adherence to project schedules and deadlines.

  • Budget Management : Oversee project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness. Identify and address budgetary concerns proactively.
  • Team Leadership : Lead and motivate project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment to maximize team efficiency.
  • Communication and Coordination : Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.

Coordinate activities with various project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.

  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines, costs, or quality.
  • Quality Control : Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction meets industry standards and client expectations.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Procurement and Contract Management : Manage the procurement process, including sourcing materials and negotiating contracts.

Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.

Client Relations : Cultivate positive relationships with clients through regular updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Seek opportunities for additional business or project expansion.

  • Site Safety : Prioritize and enforce strict safety protocols on construction sites. Collaborate with the safety team to promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records.

Provide regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Problem Resolution : Act decisively to resolve issues that may arise during construction, finding practical and timely solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Continuous Improvement : Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency.

Job requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager - Required
  • Construction field experience - Preferred
  • Proven track record in planning and executing construction projects efficiently
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities to maintain a healthy relationship with employees and clients
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop budgets, estimate costs, and make informed financial decisions
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring timely resolution of issues to prevent project delays
  • Must be a hands-on leader, you will be out in the field managing these projects.
  • Must be willing / able to handle paperwork required promptly
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record - Required
  • Must be able to pass a background check - Required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
