Group Sales Manager
The Group Sales Manager supervises one or more of the Sales Departments within the store to include the merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, staff selection and development and customer service activities.
Essential Functions include : supporting a strong commitment to world class customer service, meeting or exceeding all financial plans, executing all Sales plans, opening and closing the store, obtaining "Manager on Duty" responsibilities, maintaining planograms, staffing departments with "service" oriented associates, resolving customer and associate issues, and providing a legendary experience for every customer.
Experience / Qualifications : Minimum of 3-5 years in Retail Management, with responsibility for one or more Sales Departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability include : calculating figures and amounts, defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, interpreting reports, presenting information, conducting meetings and presentations, proficiency with PC-based systems, strong interpersonal skills, and use of team concept of management.
Travel Requirements : N / A
Independent Judgment : Performs duties within the scope of general company policies, analyzing problems and performing needs assessments, using judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired results, and making recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
Physical Requirements include : regularly performing computer work, walking, and standing; occasionally sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, step stools, operating machinery and / or power tools, operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment, working in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and hazardous conditions.
