Our manufacturing firm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Associate to join our team. This position plays a critical role in our organization, providing expert tax advice and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all tax-related matters, including preparing and reviewing tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing tax planning and advisory services.
This is a permanent, full-time position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, and a chance to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for S Corporations and other business entities.
- Conduct research on various tax matters; interpret tax regulations.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to our clients.
- Work closely with the management team to develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely tax payments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to junior tax staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and advisory services, with specific experience in S Corp and Corporate Tax Returns.
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of the manufacturing industry and its unique tax implications.
