Patient Care Technician (PCT), Medical-Surgical Unit

Job Overview :

The Patient Care Technician functions under the direct supervision of a professional nurse. He / she performs specific duties and is considered an integral part of the nursing team.

He / she will assist the nurse in gathering information and making observations regarding the patient’s condition.

Qualifications : Required :

Required :

• High School Diploma
• BLS Certification through American Heart Association only
• Enrolled in a Nursing Program, current EMT certification, Medical Assistant Certified, Phlebotomist Certified, EKG tech or equivalent

Certifications and Licenses :

BLS certification through American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements :

• Evenings 3 : 00PM - 11 : 00PM
• Every other weekend required, schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
• 2 Week Mandatory Orientation
• Full-Time (40 hrs)

Pay Range :

$21.00 to $27.00 Hourly Rate
