Family Research Council (FRC) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, DC, dedicated to articulating and advancing a family-centered philosophy of public life. Its mission is to serve in the kingdom of God by championing faith, family, and freedom in public policy and the culture from a biblical worldview.

The Senior Producer is responsible for the planning, production, and development of live daily and weekly news shows, recorded video segments, and broadcast / streamed live events, with a primary focus on Washington Watch, FRC’s daily broadcast program. This role oversees both studio and remote media operations, spanning pre-production to post-production, including creative development, execution, and distribution.

Working as part of the Communications team, the Senior Producer collaborates to create, write, and produce digital content, programs, events, and special projects, with an emphasis on live and interactive content. They ensure all initiatives requiring media production resources are properly prioritized, supported, and executed, while delivering compelling programming that upholds FRC’s standards for journalistic integrity and production excellence.

Who Are You?

You’re a creative and driven media professional with a degree in communications, journalism, or a related field, and hands-on experience producing and writing for broadcast or digital news. You thrive under daily deadlines, bring strong live news or field production skills, and understand how to manage shows from pre-production through post-production.

You’re detail-oriented, highly organized, and excel in fast-paced environments where timing and problem-solving matter most. You know the full creative process — writing, shooting, editing, and producing — and you pair strong journalistic instincts with excellent communication skills.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Salary : Commensurate with experience and size of organization.

  • PTO : Twenty-one (21) days, accrued in a year’s time, plus eleven (11) paid holidays.
