Job Summary :
The Production Associate is responsible for supporting the production process by operating machinery, assembling products, performing quality checks, and ensuring that all production tasks are completed on time and according to company standards.
This role requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate Machinery : Set up, operate, and monitor machinery used in the production process. Ensure machines are running efficiently and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Assembly : Assemble products or components according to specifications. This may involve manual assembly or using automated tools and equipment.
- Quality Control : Conduct quality checks at various stages of the production process to ensure products meet company standards.
Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies.
- Material Handling : Load and unload materials, supplies, and products from machinery or storage areas. Ensure materials are properly stocked and organized.
- Packaging : Package finished products for shipping or storage, ensuring that packaging meets quality and safety standards.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Participate in safety training and report any safety hazards to supervisors.
- Housekeeping : Keep the work area clean and organized. Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Assist in training new employees when required.
Qualifications :
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience : Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred but not required.
- Skills :
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions :
- Environment : Manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
- Hours : Full-time (7 : 15AM - 4 : 15PM
Opportunities for Advancement :
Production Associates may have opportunities to advance to supervisory or specialized roles within the production team, such as Production Supervisor.
