CDL Driver - Class A with Hazmat / Tanker Endorsements- Council Bluffs, IA

We are hiring a CDL Driver with Class A to provide safe and efficient transport of trailers Monday through Friday-7 : 00 AM-3 : 30 PM. Pay is $26.00 / hour. Our company seeks a trustworthy CDL driver to transport goods to our customers. Aside from daily reports to our dispatch, you will enjoy freedom and independence on the road. This full-time position will report to the Facility Manager. The position may occasionally require weekends, holidays, and overtime.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Keep safety first through inspecting and notifying leaders of trucks and / or trailers that may need repair.
• Safely deliver trailers to assigned docks to be loaded and / or pull loaded trailers out of docks.
• Perform safety checks of brakes, steering, lights, and mirrors before each departure.
• Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying particular attention to areas affected by the process.
• Adhere to traffic safety regulations at all times and exercise caution in poor weather circumstances.
• Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours worked.
• Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and / or straps to secure cargo while in transit.
• Assist in loading / unloading cargo when the delivery site is understaffed while maintaining product quality.
• Use GPS to stay informed of route information and communicate with the transportation team.
