Description
The Registered Nurse ensures the delivery of individualized skilled nursing care to clients in The Grove residential program.
This position is a Part-Time hourly position with a starting pay rate of $30.00 per hour with credit given for relative experience above what is required for the position up to $35.
00 per hour. Annualized $62,400.00 - $72,800.00.
- Implements nursing care in accordance with program procedures established by the Medical Director and Clinical Director and approved by the Vice President of Residential.
- Administers drugs, medications, treatments, inoculations, and tests as allowed by law. Will also assist Medication Assisted Treatment in Outpatient by providing injections as needed.
- Implements verbal physician orders and authenticating in writing, within a reasonable time, and included in the client record.
- Communicating with Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Nurses, and other staff.
- Complete other tasks within the scope of registered nurses and the program services and procedures.
- Oversees all aspects of the client admission process including : 1) Pre-screening of new clients for appropriateness for admission, including all appropriate vaccination screening.
2) Obtaining physical assessment data and health history according to 65D-30 standards 3) Obtain all laboratory specimen which are the responsibilities of nursing staff 4) All lab work documentation and specimen submissions to laboratory.
- Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, including transcribing and administering routine and prescribed medications in accordance with procedures established by the Medical Director and Clinical Director.
- Records client observations and activities in client records accurately and timely in accordance with nursing standards and organizational policy and procedure.
- Screens and provides first response to clients in the residential program such as screening for TB and contagious disease, and screening accidents and medical complaints, e.
g. cuts, earaches, sore throats, reported pain, etc., making referrals for other services when necessary.
- Actively and compassionately interact with clients to encourage engagement in treatment.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment applying principles of medical asepsis and applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
- Provides client education on healthcare, as assigned or appropriate.
- Implements safety and emergency procedures during fire drills and other disaster procedures, with assistance to clients in the residential program.
- Attends regularly scheduled meetings.
- Follows all policies and procedures with regard to client information protection, client confidentiality and HIPAA.
- Attends training as required.
- Maintains and demonstrates a current working knowledge of applicable 65D-30 standards, clinical procedures and nursing care based on company policy and State and Federal guidelines.

Requirements
Qualifications, Education, Experience :
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse.
- Maintain a valid Florida State Driver's license and current auto liability insurance at all times.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a residential program setting is strongly preferred.
- Must pass a multi-level Drug Screen.
- Must pass a Level II Background Screen.
