POSITION SUMMARY :

Under the direction of the Vice President of Mission Advancement, this position drives association fundraising through strategic grant identification, research, and persuasive writing. The ideal candidate is a mission-driven storyteller with exceptional writing skills, a proactive work style, and the ability to manage competing deadlines. This role plays a critical part in securing funding that advances the Y’s programs, which meaningfully impact tens of thousands of Southern Nevadans each year. This is a full-time position located onsite at the Bill and Lillie Heinrich YMCA (4141 Meadows Lane, Las Vegas, NV).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

1. Research & Prospecting

• Identify and cultivate new grant opportunities from government agencies, private foundations, and corporations.
• Assess potential funders for strategic alignment with the Y’s mission, programs, and priorities.
• Maintain an organized grant calendar to track opportunities, deadlines, submissions, and reporting schedules.
