RN Psych needed for 13 week full time (26 hours) assignment. We're seeking an experienced RN with a passion for mental health to provide compassionate care and support to our patients.
Shift : 3x12, rotating (D / E / N), Weekends / Holidays / On - Call / Callback / Charge per Unit Needs
Job Duties :
- tConduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- tPlan and provide nursing care for patients.
- tMake nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options.
- tConsult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
- tAdminister and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
- tArrange further medical attention when necessary.
- tAssist clients in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment.
- tMaintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
- tTest for vital signs of pain and ensure treatments of pain.
- tDocument all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.
Requirements :
- tRN License (NY License ONLY)
- tBLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
- tMinimum 2 years experience
- tTelemetry experience preferred
