Reporting to the University Librarian and serving on the leadership council for the University Libraries, the Head of Research and Instruction (R&I) leads and develops research and instructional services for the Creighton University Libraries.

The R&I department supports nine schools and colleges across two campuses (Omaha, NE, and Phoenix, AZ) through a liaison librarian service model.
The head of R&I leads the integration and expansion of information and related literacies, including AI literacy, within university curricula to improve student learning outcomes;
leads programs and partnerships to advance research and scholarship; and leads the assessment of R&I activities to demonstrate impact and for the continuous improvement and evolution of services.
