SUMMARY

Surveying commercial concrete construction building (setting benchmarks, Anchor bolts, and 3-dimensional concrete paving points).

Build collector from PDF or CAD files.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Field data collection, setting horizontal and vertical controls, topographical surveys, construction stakeout, and as-built surveys
• Provides work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials.
• Assists in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems.
• Performs layout work competently and accurately as specified by survey management.
• Checks as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques.
• Provides topographic and cross-section surveys.
• Maintains knowledge of the Company's values and strategic plan.
• Support published corporate policies.
• Perform additional assignments per management's direction.
• Post survey field data analysis
• Construction layout calculations
• Travel to multiple projects in a single day at times.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the field
• Able to use Carlson Survey or similar software
• Ability to use dimensions from pdfs and hard prints to calculate exact layout locations
• Valid Driver's License
• willing to travel the southeast
• have 2 years' experience using total stations
• Can build job files from scratch using PFD plans, and Cad files.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.

The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The position lifts heavy objects, lifts objects weighing up to 50 lbs., pulls & pushes objects weighing up to 200 lbs. The employee walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.

The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work occasionally.

Travel

Travel is not primarily local, out-of-area and overnight travel will be expected.
