Bustos Capital represents a privately owned real estate-based portfolio. We're seeking an experienced candidate with a strong background in accounting and financial operations to single-handedly manage the entire accounting function for our company.

This role is viewed as a leadership position and oversees the trajectory of the company. In addition, this person must be highly qualified in QuickBooks, monthly reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and forecasting.

Compensation :

$90,000 -$100,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

• Manage the accounting cycle for multiple LLCs.
• Establish and uphold systems and controls to maintain accounting integrity.
• Support the Property Management team with processing AP & AR tasks.
• Oversee the monthly accounting close for a portfolio of real estate assets.
• Prepare financial statements for multifamily properties, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements as required.
• Develop and supervise annual budgets and revenue forecast models.
• Organize and maintain financial records meticulously.
• Provide EOY financial statements to the CPA in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with lenders, agents, attorneys, vendors, and others involved in the business.
• Work closely with the Property Management team to drive ongoing success.
• Manage payroll processing to ensure compliance and accuracy with HR laws.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Qualifications :

• The ideal candidate should have at least 10 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop and Excel is a must.
• A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required.
• Previous experience in real estate and / or property management accounting would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills are needed to interpret complex financial data and provide valuable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on strong follow-up, are essential.
• The candidate should be trustworthy, highly accountable, and possess a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are key qualities for this position.
• Exceptional organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple priorities effectively.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth is expected.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
• Residing in Salt Lake County is highly preferred for this role.
• A clean criminal background is required.
• The candidate must be willing and able to work in the office setting.
