The position requires effective interpersonal and leadership skills, responsibility for overseeing and developing manufacturing improvement projects, ensuring timely completion within budget, seeking bids for facility improvements, ordering parts, and coordinating projects during preventive maintenance shutdowns. The role also involves providing guidance to the maintenance department on engineering concerns and managing the heavy equipment garage and boiler facilities, including training and supervising staff.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Good listening and communication skills, a proven track record in leadership, and the ability to develop and implement policies to improve operations safely are essential.

Must possess strong problem-solving, project management skills, and the ability to innovate. Planning, organizing, and scheduling to meet goals and reducing costs through efficiencies are required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word is necessary. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.
