Job Description : About the Role :
About the Role :
The Machine Operator role at the Hanover location reports to the Packing Room Supervisor and takes day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator.
You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to :
- Ensures that production standards are met by : operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include : Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers and sonic sensors.
- Determines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines.
Uses this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for next order.
- Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits.
- Ensures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.
- Other duties as assigned
Important Details : This is a full-time permanent role on 2nd shift, which operates from 3 : 00p to 11 : 00p Monday through Friday with some Saturdays .
$24.42 / hr shift differential included .
