The Driver & Runner supports the SoLa Foundation by safely transporting students, staff, guests, and materials in a 25-passenger fleet vehicle while also assisting with special events, production and day-to-day operations. Beyond transportation, the position supports the Social Impact and Tech Center teams by assisting with event logistics, organizing storage spaces, and maintaining a professional, “show ready” environment. This role combines professional driving, logistical support, and hands-on operational assistance to ensure smooth execution of programs, events, and organizational needs.

Requirements
Driving & Transportation
- Safely operate a 25-passenger vehicle to transport students weekdays attending programming at Tech Centers in South LA..
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, maintained, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist passengers as needed, ensuring safety and comfort during transport.
- Ensure passengers are properly secured with seat belt restraints
- Maintain required licenses and certifications to transport passengers
- Responsible for safety and supervision of children while in the vehicle, in transit and exiting the vehicle
- Know assigned routes, schedules and passengers for each day
- Ensure safe operation of vehicle as per, Foundation, State and Federal transportation policies
- Ensure vehicles are safe, well ventilated and equipment is maintained in good working condition
- Ensure all passengers follow rules regarding safety in vehicles and enforcement of rules
- Maintain basic vehicles operations and aesthetics, including interior cleanliness, fluid and fuel levels, documented pre-trip operation, and vehicle inspection
- Perform vehicle inspections before each trip
- Report any signs of maintenance or repair needed for the vehicle to the Operations Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to driving, including maintaining proper documentation and licenses.
- Responsible for safety and supervision of children while in the vehicle, in transit and exiting the vehicle
- Prior to all trips, ensure the gas tank is filled to at least half capacity, and refuel as necessary.
Tech Center, Production & Event Support
Serve as a Runner for Social Impact events, workshops, and programs.Support setup, teardown, and onsite logistics for events and special projects.Assist with transporting production equipment, supplies, and materials to and from event locations.Run errands, pick up, and deliver items as required for operational or event needs.Support day-to-day operations as needed, including moving materials, organizing inventory, or assisting staff with operational tasks.Assist with ad hoc projects, errands, and other responsibilities as assigned.Organize and maintain ALL Social Impact storage locations;Assist Tech Center team with keeping our “Show Ready” status at all times.Provide general event, programming, and logistical support to the Social Impact team;Collaborate with the Social Impact team on projects and events and proactively contribute where needed;.Shared responsibility for opening and closing the Tech Center.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 21 years of ageThree to Five years of driving experience,Preferable 1 year driving experience with youthSKILLS & ABILITIES
