Guidehouse is excited to welcome a dynamic and experienced professional as the Account Director for our Energy Providers Market team. This role is crucial in driving overall account growth and ensuring client satisfaction in the ever-evolving energy sector.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead strategic growth initiatives within Guidehouse's Energy Providers Practice, focusing primarily on enhancing client relationships and delivering exceptional consulting and advisory services.
  • Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with key utility accounts to secure repeat business and exceed annual sales targets.
  • Oversee and manage the development and closure of new consulting engagements, positioning Guidehouse as a trusted advisor.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants across various teams to leverage a broader range of solutions that meet client needs.
  • Enhance client performance through detailed assessments, strategies for process improvement, and implementation of best practices.
  • Guide clients through business process and organizational changes, ensuring improved effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership on project assignments, ensuring successful coordination of efforts and effective budget and schedule management.
  • Deliver insights and thought leadership on industry trends and challenges, solidifying Guidehouse's reputation as a leader in the energy sector.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff members, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Manage all aspects of client relationships and engagement delivery, ensuring high standards of service and satisfaction.

Qualifications :

  • Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in power utilities; or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Deep expertise in the energy utility industry, including market infrastructure, asset management, and clean energy trends.
  • Successful track record in business development, managing account teams, and leading proposals and engagements.
  • Full lifecycle solution experience from strategy through implementation and operations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
  • Proficient in Office software tools including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Willingness to travel and work in client locations or Guidehouse offices as required.
  • Must currently reside in the contiguous United States.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Preference for candidates located near an Energy Providers Client Office or a core Guidehouse Office.
  • Experience with analytical models and simulations relevant to the energy sector.
  • Proven ability to develop account strategies in the utilities industry.
  • Creativity in proposal development and commercial offerings.
  • Familiarity with key topics such as Infrastructure Resilience, flexible generation integration, digitalization, and cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge in Transmission & Distribution (T&D) infrastructure resiliency trends.
  • Relevant technology platform certifications.
  • The salary range for this role is $197,000 to $328,000, with compensation decisions based on various factors including skills, experience, and performance.
