Under the general direction of the Director of Behavioral Health, the Behavioral Health Provider will provide behavioral health services at North Shore Community Health.

As a team member at our health center, you will work with staff who are racially, ethnically, and culturally diverse, so being culturally competent is required.

This position is open to full-time, part-time and fee-for-service candidates and will float between our Salem and Gloucester locations.

Duties / Responsibilities : Provides intake, diagnostic assessment, and treatment planning to primary care North Shore Community Health patients with chronic medical, behavioral health, and / or substance use issuesProvides outpatient psychotherapy services (individual, family, group).

Provide crisis interventionProvide consultation to primary care and dental staff pertaining to the behavioral health needs of their patients.

Shares best practices and expertise with NSCH staffMeet documentation standards in a timely fashion using the electronic health record for each patient contact.

  • Attends in-service training for ongoing licensure requirementComplies with all policies for compliance and documentation.
  • Participate in supervision and team and staff meetings, as appropriate.Participates on committees and task forces as appropriate.

RequirementsLICSW or PsyD requiredDemonstrated strong communication skills with individuals and / or groupsExperience preferred in Electronic Health Records and in Microsoft Office?

Maintains strict adherence to the NSCH Confidentiality policyIncorporates NSCH values, principles, and mission statement into daily activitiesComplies with all NSCH personnel policies and proceduresSelf-motivated and self-directed to work within a team and work independentlyMaintain CEUs as required by the stateBilingual Spanish / Portuguese preferred.

Completion of NSCH required Compliance Training before the deadline.As a health center, NSCH ensures that all employees comply with the annual requirements for vaccinations and health screenings.

All employees must be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of their employment unless they have been granted a religious or medical exception.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be provided, and prospective employees must be vaccinated before their first day of employment, submitting their vaccination record and prehire paperwork.
