Google Beam is a cloud-based initiative within Google that enables real-time, immersive communication experiences. The Beam cloud team drives the cloud compute platform for Google Beam, supporting graphics, computer vision, and audio workloads used across Beam.
Location options include Seattle, WA, USA; Mountain View, CA, USA; San Francisco, CA, USA. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location; recruiter can share the specific range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Compensation details listed reflect base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Overview
Like Google’s own ambitions, software engineering managers provide technical leadership to major projects and manage a team of engineers. They optimize code and help engineers optimize theirs, manage project goals, contribute to product strategy, and develop their team. Teams span information retrieval, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, security, data compression, and user interface design. Managers guide the way as the organization scales and moves quickly.
With technical and leadership expertise, you will manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, oversee a large product budget, and deploy large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
