Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with a DC license, strong trauma skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital settingPatient population includes urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, critical care, and trauma patientsResponsible for trauma room coverage and bedside trauma RN dutiesTypical patient ratio is 1 : 5Performs advanced critical care procedures including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusions, and chest tubesUses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience required12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours / week)Six-month contract options availableED nurses coordinate and deliver care for complex, high-acuity patientsDevelop and utilize advanced critical care skills in a high-volume, fast-paced settingMust be able to start within two weeks of offerTwo manager or supervisor references from within the last twelve months preferredProof of SSN and valid driver's license requiredCOVID and Flu vaccination requiredNo local candidates within 25 miles are eligibleBSN is highly desiredRequirements
Active DC RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experienceGraduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing programCurrent certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS (AHA only)Experience as a bedside trauma RN requiredCerner EMR experience requiredCPI certification mandated by positionMust live at least 25 miles from the facilityTwo years of prior US hospital experience in specialty requiredBenefits
