Description :
Have worked with Cerner in the last year.
Experience working in CCU / ICU and MS / Tele in the last year is required.
Must follow workflow to cover gaps.
Experience boarding patients is necessary.
Ability to start IVs and administer medications is required.
Must have 3 years of experience working in the Emergency Room.
Flexibility is essential.
Required to orient for two shifts in the Emergency Room and two half shifts in MS and CCU.
This role requires open flexibility for capacity overflow covering flu and COVID season.
The RN will board patients and follow to MS or CCU if needed.
Floating is not optional.
Must be able to travel with patients to other units.
No holiday requirements during late December.
Total beds / trauma bays are 26 with three trauma bays.
There is no separate triage area; they will triage patients while in the department.
ER holds are intermixed within the ER, and ER nurses care for those patients.
There is one designated lower ligature risk room with a camera for seclusion.
In-house security is available 24 / 7.
Average patient volume is 60 per day.
Ratios are 1 to 4.
Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, altered mental status, STEMI, stroke, chest pain, and respiratory conditions.
Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics.
We utilize MDs, DOs, PAs, and NPs for patient care.
There is always a charge nurse present who takes patients.
Medics and PCTs provide additional support.
Nursing staff performs 90% of the blood draws.
The charting system used is Cerner Corporation - Millennium.
Staff self-schedules with the manager balancing the schedule.
Every third weekend is required.
Holidays may require flexibility to work as needed.
No call or standby requirement exists.
Navy blue scrubs are the required dress code, and facial piercings must comply with policy.
Tattoos may be visible as long as they are not inappropriate or vulgar.
RTO needs to be communicated upfront.
Punctuality and commitment to fulfilling the contract are mandatory.
