Department : Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift / Status : Full Time, 36 hrs / wk
Schedule : Day Shift (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM), self-scheduling
Patient Population : Critically ill patients (Medical, Surgical, Cardiac, and some Trauma)
Number of Beds : 16
Patient Ratios : 1 : 2
Minimum Rate Per Hour : $32
Maximum Rate Per Hour : $53

Job Summary :
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model.
Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and evaluating patient responses.
What You'll Do :
Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
Adjust plans as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families, managing both emotional and physical discomfort.
- Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
Regularly assess and document learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community members to create and execute care plans, delegating tasks as appropriate.
- Utilize problem-solving strategies, prioritize safety and effectiveness, and ensure efficient delivery of patient care.
- Achieve team goals through collaboration, recognizing contributions, and committing to personal and professional growth.
What Will Make You Successful In The Role :
- Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines applicable to your area.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, with a focus on health, disease prevention, management, and common medications.
- Respect for medical and professional nursing ethics and patient privacy rights.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong social skills for effective interactions with a diverse range of individuals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, information security, scheduling and payroll systems, electronic medical documentation, and email.
Qualifications :
- Education : Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
- Specialized Field : Nursing
- License / Certification :
- A current and valid nursing license.
- BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role.
